Indeed you would think they would understand that. I'm just curious about how the advertising reps from the Chron plan to approach West Oaks Mall. Now that will be some real spin.

It is sad that a newspaper like chronicle makes decisions based on Families Income and Purchase power...Small business and Senior citizens relay on the Alief section publication to stay in touch and try to improve the area but seems the newspaper doesn’t care...
Now i have quiet often young people knocking on my door desperately trying to sell a subscription, what's the purpose if I have nothing to read about my community?
As financial advisor i suggest to reduce unnecessary expenses on anything, that of course will include newspaper subscription.. On line is Free :)
Maybe Katy and Memorial Areas have more purchase power but Alief/Southwest is a growing community with more citizens per square mile...Marketing and Newspaper directors should now that

Najean, your sentiment is shared by many in this community. Of course everyone has to make their own choices in this matter. As frustrated as I get with the Chron I haven't yet gotten to the point where I want to cancel my subscription...yet. Not saying I won't get there some day, just not there yet. Thanks for sharing.

Once again the Alief community and Greater Mission Bend area is treated as the ugly stepchild no one wants. We have little or no control over the decisions of others yet must cheerfully (?) live with these decisions and pay for them financially and otherwise (with increased fees, lack of or decreased services, more subsidized housing filling our neighborhood. etc.)

Thanks Chronicle for nothing. Your paper hasn't done much for us lately anyway. Guess it's time to pull that subscription once and for all.

Kathy, thank you for your post. We have had Crestwater representatives at several of our meetings. We look forward to working with your neighborhood. Please be patient with the site. I hope to have it up and running before much longer, but clearly it is taking more time that I alloted for in the early stages.

Glad to hear of this new site. I live in Crestwater and we, too, are
very concerned about the area's decline and problems.
Looking forward to the growth of this site and the genuine comments
and concerns of all our residents.
